Save money on your next prescription!

Hi Everyone,
I’m working with a nonprofit association that is involved in a massive nationwide campaign to assist individuals, families, along with businesses that are without prescription drug coverage. We are giving away free discount prescription cards. There is NO cost for anyone to use this service and the card has no limits and will never expire. If you are without prescription drug coverage this discount card will provide immediate relief to yourself and family.  Just go to the web site www.artgodinez.provisionrx.com and fill out the small form and receive your prescription cards instantly.  You can print as many as you need. Although this is not insurance you can take it to any of over 60,000 participating pharmacies nationwide and receive 10% - 75%  savings.  Currently there are over 300,000 people using this card a month. Saving 100,000s of thousands a week. We are asking for everyone’s help in getting this out to the nation. You can help by just forwarding this post to your facebook or twitter friends. Even if you personally have coverage by forwarding this message to everyone you know, you can have a major impact in someone’s life.If you are interested in the business watch the click on the opportunity link on the website or take a minute to watch the video below.

Thank you and have a wonderful day!

Our Honeymoon

Hey Everyone!
So here we are back from our honeymoon and let me tell you it was absolutely amazing. We did so many things and had so many experiences, if I wrote about them it would be a freakin novel. We saw things I would never thought in a million years that I would be able to see. The people over there were super nice and love where they come from. We just want to say thank you to everyone that helped us with this trip. We could not have done it with you. There are tons of pictures and video of our whole trip and watch out because you all will get a chance to see them very soon! Coming back home was definitely reliving but we would love to go on another trip next year. Lila and I are very grateful to have the support behind us for this trip and we love you all very much. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU! Like I said keep your eye out in your mail box for some images from our trip.

Halloween 2011

Hi everyone, it’s been a while since we have last posted to the blog but it’s been super nuts! There has been birthday parties and baby showers galore! Every weekend Lila and I have been going to a ton of family parties and events. We really enjoy spending time with are families. Of course there’s a lot of wishes coming our way for a family of our own and Lila and I are hoping to be blessed with a great one. Most recent of the family events was this weekend. This weekend marked Lila’s step-dad, my step-father in law’s 40th birthday. It the spirit of the month, naturally it was a costume party! You know what that means! That means witches, ghosts, clowns, monsters and swans? Yes, swans.(take a look at our pic to the left)
Each year, around this time there’s always one question that comes up and is always difficult to answer. But once you answer it, it becomes you, it takes over your life and the character almost seems real. What am I going to be for Halloween? For Lila and I, the answer came in the form of a swan, a Black Swan. This year we dressed up as the white swan and the black swan from the movie Black swan. Lila is used to the makeup, the attire and the tights. Not the case for me though. This is the most uncomfortable costume ever. My wife did look super hot though, and she did a fantastic job on my eye makeup. As for the party, we had a great time! The food was great and crazies came out, I might have been one of them. :o) There were a lot of great costumes and a lot of good pictures from the photo booth. Lila and I had a great time and happy birthday Craig!
It doesn't stop there. After that we headed over to another friend's Halloween Party. Marty and Allison always throw a fantastic Halloween party so we just had to go over there. Also, my cousin Tony was dying to see me in a too-too for some odd reason. Just as we suspected that party was still rocking even though we got there later in the night. Its always a good time at the Buck's. Be sure to send us pics of your costumes. Have a fun and safe Halloween everyone!

Dexter

Lila and I just finished season 4 of Dexter. We have been progressing as fast as we can to get through the seasons and we just can't get enough. We saw 12 episodes in three days. These things are hour shows and it's showtime so there's no commercials. That's a lot of Dexter but even though we've been binge Dextering Lila is sending me to Best Buy tomorrow to get season 5! I guess because the new season is starting on Sunday, we need to get caught up.

For those of you who have never seen or even heard of Dexter, let me give you a brief synopsis. Dexter is a forensics blood spatter expert for Miami Metro Police Department. The thing is he is also a serial killer! He and his so called "dark passenger" go on mysterious evening adventures capturing killers that due to our perfect justice system have managed to slip through the cracks of Justice's blind eye. He lives by a code and follows it to a T. He's killed men, women, psychos and murders, all in the name of... well... cause he can. He feels no happiness, sadness, emotion is all a facade to blend it to what we would call and perfect life. Its not so easy having such a complicated life. Juggling work, relationships, family and this need to stab something can't be easy. Oh, don't forget about rule #1, Don't get caught....

We would highly recommend Dexter. It's full of humor, mystery, drama, action and excitement. You just won't be able to turn it off. The writing is great and you never see the twists and turns coming. Start with season 1.Once you get past the ham and eggs opening Dexter takes you to a world and mind of a Serial Killer!

Its time for Pick it & Click it

Football season is one week away and I can’t wait. Actually my football season starts this Saturday as USC will be taking on Minnesota. But the pros are about to kick off and I’m very interested in this year’s NFL season. This year marks the second season of my NFL pick’em league. It’s called Pick it and Click it. It’s a place where friends, family and friends of friends can put their money where their mouth is and see who really knows their football. My team name this year is “Child Please” named after a Chad Ochocincoism and Lila’s fitting name is “Flea flicker chicken little”, which she got from the movie Little Giants. It’s funny cause last year I had to show her what a flea flicker actually was. She did well though, she beat me a couple of weeks and I had to do the dishes (I hate doing dishes). So here we go folks, I’m glad the NFL is back and if anyone wants to sign up there are still spots open until Wednesday, so you better hurry! Until next time…

Endless Summer

London Bridge, Lake Havasu, AZ.

So the question really should be. Why should summer end? I mean the kids are off school (less traffic for me) and here in California we get the best weather to do stuff in. Plus California has so many good opportunities to do so many fun outdoor activities. There’s hiking and going to the beach and great restaurants, and so much more. If there is one place you want to spend summer it’s California. That being said, we are headed to Arizona this weekend for our last summer activity. We are headed to the lake for a nice weekend of fun, sun and water. You may be asking yourself, Art, you just talked about California and now you’re headed to Arizona? Yes, this river acts as a natural boarder between California and Arizona so technically I’ll be in Arizona but close enough. It’s just a hop skip and a jump into the car for a nice 3.5 hour drive to the 95 freeway on our way to Windsor Beach launch. The real cool thing though is Lila and I haven’t done something like this together and I can’t wait to see her on the inner tube slicing and dicing her way behind the boat(aka falling face first in the water). We’ll be sure to show her the world famous London Bridge (yes, it’s that one) and be sure to visit the fine folks at the sand bar. Here we will be mingling with other fine patrons and residents of Lake Havasu, while standing up in the middle of the lake. Plus the last time she was out on the water she was with people that are just duds and with the group we are going with its sure to be a complete 180 from that.  With the wedding being done it’s going to be great to just be able to relax on the water and really enjoy the time out there. So we shall see you guys when we get back!  We’ll be sharing some pictures and I do put a high emphasis on some. :o) Have a wonderful weekend.

Batter Up!

Southern California Edison Annual Men's Softball Tournament

Its that time of the year again. This Saturday August 20th 2011, Southern California Edison will sponsor its annual Men's softball tournament.  This tournament has been a part of my family for over 20 years and is still alive and kicking. Teams from all over Edison's service territory gather at Huntington Beach Sports complex in Surf City USA to swing, throw and catch their way through the field of 16 teams. There's really no way to predict what is gonna happen to what teams but there is always one thing for certain. It's a great day to take the family out to the park and there's plenty of fireworks on the diamonds. This is my 5th year playing in the tournament and the team my dad has managed for the last 20+ years always comes ready to play. There will not be any change to that attitude this year as we try to battle our way to being the last team standing. Its a long day but somehow there's always enough energy to play that last inning during that last game. All you have to do is look for the team name "LAW", representing the Law Dept. No telling where LAW will end up this year but we will make it exciting as always.

If you feel like coming to cheer us on or just want a day out with the family this Saturday would be a great opportunity to do so. Here is the address.

The Start of something new

So Rumor has it that I got married this past weekend. And I just wanted to put it out to the cyber world that although the media is having a frenzy with this and TMZ will not leave me alone, this rumor is true! I did get married this weekend to my lovely new wife Lila.
This was hands down the best day of my life and I can't say thank you enough to everyone that helped with our special day.We worked very hard on creating a day full of love and fun. My new wife looked goddess beautiful and the love and support we received from our friends and family was unbelievable. Everyone of course keeps asking me "How does it feel to be a married man"? I can only respond by saying it feels fantastic. It was a long year and a couple months of planning and it is feels great for it to be coming to a close. But as everyone knows when one door closes another door opens. I feel very excited to start my new life with my new wife and the way I feel right now the sky is the limit.
